Painting Gallery

While his first painting years were limited to small canvases, a number of the newest paintings are new LARGER Size paintings including 16”x20”, 20”x24” and even 24”x36” of Bayou St. John, the Return of the Canal Streetcar, Mardi Gras,  Still Lifes & Nudes, Beaches of Sandestin, Florida and California Vineyards. Up until recently, Eric worked on only small scale paintings because of his loss of his peripheral vision made him think it was impossible to paint any larger. But he has challenged himself to to go beyond the norm and try painting in a bigger format.

“In order to paint on large scales, I need to pause regularly and step back quite a bit further from the painting to view it in it’s entirety. Of course my fear of painting on a large scale is much like living Life, You need to step back at bit to gain a real perspective. Besides, what fun is life without a challenge.”

Browse through the galleries below to see those works and others from Eric’s recent painting trips to the Beaches of Florida, the California wine country of Sonoma & Napa, Park City, UT, Tubac, AZ and of course New Orleans.

Original works by Eric are currently on exhibit in The Cork and Bottle on Orleans Ave.

A limited number of signed and numbered 8"x10" prints of certain paintings are also available. Please Contact the Art-Man to ask for availability.
